Fried my vista
#1
Nuzgul 5 6s....I crashed the other week and my battery wire got into my props, not realizing this I lazily try to rearm and fly back...now I only get the 3 start up beepS, and nothing from the vista. Guessing it’s fried but could it just be the capacitor?

Just thought I’d add that the reason I asked is because If it’s definitely the vista I’ll order another one but if it’s the capacitor I’ll gladly learn how to souder and same some cash...I’m very new to this and just wanna get back in the air as it’s spring here now. Thanks

If you're not getting the last two beeps it won't be the Vista. You've most likely fried the 5V regulator and/or Schottky diode on the flight controller.

If you plug in just a LiPo (without a USB cable connected), do you see any LED activity on the FC? If  you don't, disconnect the LiPo, connect a USB cable, then reconnect the LiPo again. If you then get all 5 startup beeps the issue is the reason I mentioned in the first paragraph.

So it sounds like you had a wiring short to the carbon frame. It was indeed your lucky day that you didn't end up frying something Big Grin

Happy flying Cool

It’s doing it again, luckily I also fixed my whoop so I can still fly. I had one good flight and it shorted out. I tore it down and unplugged everything...put it back together and plugged the led back in...it work and I briefly flew but it was in low power mode so I landed. I’m just gonna replace the stack?

Before you buy a new FC, it could be a bad connection on the FC-to-ESC wiring harness. Try re-seating both connectors by unplugging and re-plugging them. And while they are out, use a magnifying glass to check inside the sockets for any bent or damaged pins.
