0 Sorry if there is a post on this, or if it's a lazy newb question, but I haven't found it after searching for 20 min or so...
I'm new to FPV. Flown a few friends birds, done some sim time. Really want to get into it more, starting with a build.
Does anyone know of any decent kit's or bundles that include everything you need to build a quad, including transmitters and goggles? Looking for something where i don't have to spec out all the parts the first time.
Thanks in advance!

103 as i know there is no kit to build by yourself, includes goggles and transmitter. you can choose a diy kit and goggles and transmitter. if you wouldnt like to build by yourself there would be a lot rtf bundles.
where will you go? and whats the budget?

0 Just flying around the yard, and local parks. Budget "IDK" is the answer. Hopefully under $800 or so (if i can sneak that by the boss). I guess buying piecemeal will be easier to slip by for permission rather than buying all at one time.
If not a kit, has anyone put together a decent list of what to buy for a decent first build kit?

20 Stuff has come down quite a bit.. well reasonably.. with a decent selection.. it’s not just the quad, controller, goggles... it’s also batteries, charger AND a decent soldering iron...

0 Have plenty of hardware (screws, zipties, etc.) and a great soldering iron (into 3d printing and other work requiring that stuff.) So as far as ready to build tool wise, I'm good.
Understand batteries, chargers, etc. Assumed that would be part of the entire 'kit'. Looks like no luck so far, and I'll have to start specing out something...
Thanks though!!

3 27-May-2021, 05:14 PM (This post was last modified: 27-May-2021, 05:17 PM by JinxFPV.) I would highly...HIGHLY recommend AVOIDING the Bardwell Phreakstyle. Is it a great quad? Yes. Is it an easy build? Yes.
Unfortunately, however - GetFPV is the ONLY seller of replacement parts and they are perpetually out of stock. A few months ago I had to order an entire new frame JUST to get arms because they had been out of them for weeks. I have NEVER broken so many arms before as I have on the Phreakstyle.
Another new pilot I recently met has the same build and was grounded because he also broke an arm and guess what? GetFPV is out of them again. I had to give him one of my spares yesterday, and at the same spot, I had to use MY last spare arm because one broke. We're talking a crash from 10-20 feet on soft grass. The quality on that frame is total garbage.
If you are looking for a good first build that you can get parts for, I would highly recommend this one. It was my first build a year ago and still holds up. It's not a kit but these parts (or similar ones) shouldn't be hard to find or get spares.
