The antenna of the AIR UNIT broke of course, the GPS socket came out. And after that the FC is not turning on. How ever when the ESC is connected to it, the GPS and my Buzzer get power through the air unit. I checked everything no damage is occured to the board, but I am not able to it to connect it to beta flight. • Posts: 21,287 Threads: 588 Likes Received: 8,978 in 6,645 posts Likes Given: 1,426 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 789 If you plug the USB cable into your flight controller without a LiPo attached, do any LEDs light up on the board? • Posts: 282 Threads: 31 Likes Received: 2 in 2 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: Sep 2019 Reputation: 0 (28-Jul-2020, 07:42 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: If you plug the USB cable into your flight controller without a LiPo attached, do any LEDs light up on the board? Nope • Posts: 78 Threads: 32 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: Nov 2019 Reputation: 0 That pretty much means you fried the board. I had this happen to me as well, the only way I was able to fix it was by getting a new one. • Posts: 21,287 Threads: 588 Likes Received: 8,978 in 6,645 posts Likes Given: 1,426 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 789 I seem to recall us talking about this before. It's not clear what LEDs exist on the NewBeeDrone Infinity FC and if any are for the 3.3V rail. Usually there is a red LED on most FC's to indicate that the 3.3V rail is active but maybe there isn't one on your particular FC. Please use a multimeter to check the voltage between the 3.3V pad (3rd from the left on the bottom in the following image) and one of the GND pads. That will at least tell you if the MCU is getting power. • Posts: 282 Threads: 31 Likes Received: 2 in 2 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: Sep 2019 Reputation: 0 Just order a multimeter, will get it tomorrow • Posts: 282 Threads: 31 Likes Received: 2 in 2 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: Sep 2019 Reputation: 0 (28-Jul-2020, 07:53 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: sI seem to recall us talking about this before. So there 3.3 voltage I just ckecked • Posts: 21,287 Threads: 588 Likes Received: 8,978 in 6,645 posts Likes Given: 1,426 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 789 OK, if your 3.3V power rail is getting power then the MCU must be getting power. It's a shame that NewBeeDrone cut corners and didn't stick an LED on the board to indicate MCU power like pretty much all of the other manufacturers do because that can save a lot of head scratching. At least you now have a multimeter which is a must-have tool in this hobby. Try connecting the FC to your computer again and see if you get any response in Betaflight Configurator. Make sure you are definitely using a data USB cable and not a charge-only USB cable. • Posts: 282 Threads: 31 Likes Received: 2 in 2 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: Sep 2019 Reputation: 0 (29-Jul-2020, 04:35 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: OK, if your 3.3V power rail is getting power then the MCU must be getting power. I dont know if its a data one or not. • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 Did the cable that your used allowed you to connect to BFC before? If yes, then it is a data cable. • Posts: 282 Threads: 31 Likes Received: 2 in 2 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: Sep 2019 Reputation: 0 (29-Jul-2020, 07:29 PM)voodoo614 Wrote: Did the cable that your used allowed you to connect to BFC before? Yes, so its not turning on when I connect it to the computer • Posts: 21,287 Threads: 588 Likes Received: 8,978 in 6,645 posts Likes Given: 1,426 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 789 Try putting the FC into boot mode by holding down the boot button while you plug in the USB cable and see if Betaflight Configurator then recognises that it's in DFU mode. • Posts: 282 Threads: 31 Likes Received: 2 in 2 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: Sep 2019 Reputation: 0 • Posts: 21,287 Threads: 588 Likes Received: 8,978 in 6,645 posts Likes Given: 1,426 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 789 Put your finger on that large square chip on top of the FC. Does it get warm or even really hot when you plug in a USB cable? Check the USB socket on the FC with a magnifying glass to see of there are any broken or cracked solder joints where the pins are soldered to the board. • Posts: 282 Threads: 31 Likes Received: 2 in 2 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: Sep 2019 Reputation: 0 (30-Jul-2020, 01:45 AM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: Put your finger on that large square chip on top of the FC. I just order a glass, with the naked eye it seems to be fine. • |
