Fatshark 101 Pitch Problem
#1
Hi All,

I have an old Fatshark 101 FPV trainer kit I am trying to revive after sitting for the longest time.

When the radio is powered up and the quad connected to Betaflight, the animation in BF when inputting stick command works with 1 exception.

All axis stick inputs work in the BF channel map graphs as expected including pitch.

Except when providing pitch input, the channel map shows action in the pitch channel, yet the animated model in BF does not pitch. Every other axis works as expected with the model.

Does this indicate a problem with the gyro? I've re-calibrated that several times with no effect.

Or is this more to do with the FC.

Any ideas?

I think the Betaflight firmware is fairly old and may have a bug with the animation in the configurator.

The quad should be ok in real life as the stick inputs look ok.

If this was a gyro issue then yaw and roll should not work as well.

Take it out for a flight test Smile

Thanks Kaffie.

I have never had this drone hooked up to BF before. Just did and when when I noticed the behavior, I became concerned before trying to fly it.

It hasn't flown in ages because of a burned motor when I last stored it.

If figured since my new FC for the Cinelog35 is coming in next week, I'd use it as soldering practice for the FC replacement by replacing the bad motor.

I couldn't remember which one it was and thought I'd check them in BF to see which one I need to replace.

Guess I'll replace it tomorrow and see if it flies.

Have a good one!
