Can I use ESC’s with BEC leads if I don’t have a BEC module to plug them into?

09-Dec-2019, 09:55 AM Can I use ESC’s with BEC leads if I don’t have a BEC module to plug them into? 09-Dec-2019, 12:31 PM As someone coming from fixed wing where those ESCs are the norm I would say I think so. That plug is to recieve the throttle signal and to power the reciever and servos so I would think that you can just cut the power and ground (if you don't want to use them to power something) and solder the signal wire to the right motor signal pad. Maybe someone has tried it and can confirm or deny my claim but I really can't see why it wouldn't work. 09-Dec-2019, 07:21 PM You can use the ESC BEC for whatever purpose you want. Just make sure whatever component you hook up to the BEC doesn't excess the Current draw spec of the BEC. 09-Dec-2019, 07:48 PM If I had no need for it at all, could I just not connect anything and tie it out the way? 09-Dec-2019, 08:01 PM |
