786 Whichever RC system you choose. I highly advise that you install a GPS module and configure GPS Rescue / Return To Home on your quads. Unless someone is trying to save every last gram of weight, it's considered a must these days rather than a luxury IMO, and as long as the FC has a spare full UART I would put one on any quad that is being flown out further than half a mile.

11 20-Mar-2024, 08:23 AM (This post was last modified: 20-Mar-2024, 08:24 AM by GiantAntCowboy.) This year I started using 2.4ghz Gemini setup and I’m really impressed. Maintains near perfect LQ in both my penetration (at the limit of my FPV setups) & range tests (7km or 4 miles), and I only use 100mW.
Here’s my tests if curious:

Happy to answer questions, but coming from CRSF I’ve been really happy with 2.4ghz ELRS!
Additionally, Smaller TX antennas is a huge plus for transporting and storing your transmitter.

41 Totally offtopic, but, you should claim your Long Range badge. You have so many long range videos on your channel and yes you probably don't fly for that reason, but why not.

11 Ok, finally did it, requested my hard earned long range badge! Been meaning to do it for years…
@Krohsis, my main long-range quad is a deadcat, the one shown here is some small 5” quad which was subsequently lost in the mountains during an earlier “WalkSnail” test video… I tried to rescue it which was unsuccessful but a great adventure!
Either way, I highly recommend ELRS, don’t need Gemini, but definitely get a true diversity RX.
