Dropped and Broke my Radiomaster Zorro. Recommendations?
#1
Bumped my lanyard clip last night and my controller took a tumble down 3 wooden steps. Didn't think anything of it when I dropped it, but I lost all friction on my throttle control. Still flyable, but if you shake the controller the throttle will just flop up and down. No big deal if my hands are both on, but catastrophic if I let go to swipe at a bug.
Spent some time trying to adjust springs and finally opened up the controller this morning to find a piece of the plastic case that anchors one of the stick leaf springs had broken off. I've just crazy-glued it, and I'll keep using this controller, but I want to get a second controller as this one is not going to be reliable and will assuredly break again soon.

I would consider another Radiomaster Zorro, but I have had some minor hand discomfort holding it. I have large hands and I am primarily a pincher, and my other 3 fingers have trouble settling on a comfortable spot on the RMZ. Any recommendations for a second ELRS controller that is comfortable to pinch with big hands?
Thanks!

Edited to say that upon looking closer, the piece is not a part of the main frame and if I can find that replacement piece I might be in business. Still want a spare though, so send those recommendations!

Okay, looks like I just need to replace the entire hall gimbal assembly. I'd love to get one with a sexy color, but at 9x the price I think I'll stick with the plastic oem one from radiomaster.

Sorry to hear about your radio, hope you can still fly with it until you get a replacement (the floppy throttle maybe there is an adjustment screw on the gimbal that just needs retightening?)
However there are lots of new radios coming out lately so seems you will have lots of choices. I am guessing the Boxer might be something to check out with its full-sized gimbals, but if you want cheap and compact there is also the new radio master portable and Jumper T120...
Or you remember the first giant radio you flew on... Taranis X9D+ that is quite suitable for a larger pinch grip even though it is quite dated, probably get a used one for cheap just add your own ELRS module.

Thankfully it was still flyable with a flaccid throttle, and even better, my super glue job is holding for now, and even better than that I have a new gimbal on the way.
I think the Zorro is compact enough for me, so maybe I will look for a more monstrous controller like the Boxer as a second.
Is there a way to copy quad profiles from one controller to another?

I keep one radio profile per protocol for all my quads - any quad specific settings done on the FC. It makes it a lot easier to swap between radios. But if you do like to keep a profile for each quad, you can copy models between radios using EdgeTX companion on your PC. But if you make changes to one, you will have to remember to copy it again to the other...

I remember you saying you kept a single profile. Before I just thought it was convenience while swapping drones, and I rather like having my radio display that particular drone's name, but this is a very strong case for keeping one profile for all quads.
