Hey there,

I just built my first FPV quad and am having some issues. 
I have been looking around in various forums and haven't found a solution yet. 

Here is a video I made showing the entire problem in detail.





My drone has been having some intermittent problems.
Sometimes it will fly completely fine, and other times it will have one of two issues:

Skipping: Where the motors will sound choppy and unrefined. Sometimes the drone will suddenly lean (pitch) back around 45 degrees without warning and I will have to quickly lean (pitch) forward to recover.

Spiraling out of control: Where the drone will violently flip out of control until it crashes. This usually happens within 10 seconds of takeoff.


This uncertainty is really putting a damper on my ability to fly confidently without worrying about my drone becoming uncontrollable while a hundred feet in the air.  

My current theory is that my Flight controller hardware needs to be replaced, but I'm grasping at straws at this point.

That is almost certainly a hardware issue of some sort with the AIO flight controller board. Blackbox logs might possibly help understand why it's happening but ultimately I think you are going to have to replace the AIO FC.

If you do that, I highly advise that you don't get another iFlight controller. We see quite a few issues with iFlight electronics on here. Their design and QC seems to be poor at best. Their motors on the other hand are fine so those are nothing to worry about.

I agree it's most likely a fault in the FC.... Possibly something wrong with the gyro.....

I am curious to see what would happen if you increased the ESC's PWM frequency from 24 to 48hz though.

Thanks for the advice. This all lines up with what I was thinking. 
I will give blackbox a go, but I'll probably end up replacing the AIO. 

I didn't know that iFlight had such a bad reputation though... 
What brand AIO do you recommend?

This is a long shot. But is your props all tighten down? Meaning they are spinning with the bell and not freely spin between the nut and the bell.
