Drone Authority (UK) Is Back!
#1
Following the announcement back in August that they were shutting up shop (see another thread HERE), it appears that Drone Authority have risen from the ashes and are back. From the announcement sent out to customers it appears that they are under new management, so someone has likely bought the brand and business which is good news for UK pilots because we have a dwindling number of FPV vendors here as it is.

We're so pleased to reach out to all existing customers of Drone Authority to announce the relaunch of the store!

They seem to have no real stock, much the same as the old shop. No motors and tbh, not a whole lot of stuff besides some FC and ESC. But they seem to be jumping on the WS bandwagon. Until they have stuff like motors in it's not going to work. Things like WS and FC/ESC are almost niche products in comparison to motors, vtx, cams, etc.

One funny thing i noticed is they used to sell packs of 8 or 10 BetaFPV buzzers. They were there a couple of days back but have now disappeared. Not that I need any since I picked up a couple of packs when they were closing down. That was one of the more useful things i bought from them.

It's under different ownership. Completely new people running the site than previously, so I guess they will stock whatever they think is going to have the most demand and be the most profitable without stuff just sitting in a stock cupboard gathering dust. If you watch Lee's video he did state that they have a lot of stuff on backorder with vendors so as the stock deliveries come in it will get added to the site, including any new items which might not even have a listing for them yet. So I guess we just need to be a bit patient to see how things pan out.

So it turns out that Drone Authority was bought out by Ben at 3DXR who are a veteran UK vendor in the UAS hobby, but the primary focus of their existing 3DXR.co.uk website has been towards fixed wing and Ardupilot hobbyists. It now all makes sense why Lee (Painless360) seemed to be in the know about what was happening more than anyone else did because he has quite a strong relationship with 3DXR.
