0 Im new to fpv quads and i have existing recievers from my 3D helicopters and i was wondering if i could use a S-fhss reciever for my futaba T14sg on the drone that i ordered or does the reciever have to be sbus. If someone could help out that would be great.
Thanks in advance.

6 The s-fhss system is only good for VLOS flying. It simply has a short range, low above the ground, the range will be only around 400 to 500 m, and random micro fail safe will follow. The range will be a maximum of 1.5 km in free space. It may come as a surprise to some, but this is the reality. Forget flying behind an obstacle, even at 50 m it is not possible to fly behind an obstacle. So if you want to fly VLOS and not far, then Futaba s-fhss is usable on a drone, otherwise not.
Conventional flight controllers (FC) require an s-bus, preferably the CRSF protocol. You can connect regular PWM receiver to the FC with the proper adapter, but it is definitely not for a beginner and the time and money invested will not pay off.
If you're serious about drones, forget about Futaba s-fhss. If you want to stay with s-fhss, buy a diversity receiver with s.bus output.
