So there I was, flying my new DJI FPV quad ( which I love BTW ) and i Jerked my head around and the power cord fell off of the goggles. Luckily I was flying low to the ground above grass so I killed the motors and nothing was hurt. So I started searching the web to see what others did in my situation and I saw a few 3D printed gadgets that screwed into the side, but since I do not have a 3D printer i decided to use a 1/16th inch plastic cable clamp and it works like a charm. Here is a picture of what I used and how I hooked them up. I bought the cable clamps at Ace Hardware for 20 cents each.

28-Jul-2020, 11:31 PM That's a good tip. I've read quite a few complaints about that issue. Other than custom 3D printed brackets that are readily available on Thingiverse, I've seen other people use the poor man's solution of a cable-tie to strap the power cord to the metal D-ring. Your solution is a nice halfway house between the two. |
