Hi,

I have the same set and it's OK. Sorry if I ask stupid questions but are you using the correct band and channel on the wildfire module? It's a typical symptom that on some adjacent channel you get decent picture on close range which drastically fails when you fly away.

Another question is the antenna connector type. Check your wildfire module and the antennas' connector type they must match. SMA male to SMA female or RP-SMA male to RP-SMA female, Do not mix SMA with RP-SMA

For example it's easy to attach an RP-SMA antenna to a SMA module which means there is no antenna connected to the module and cause the same issue you had.

Yes I have one male one female in both antennas .....but I don't know much about the vtx channels.....so this is what I do....in smart audio I say enter frequency directly....then set it to 5809......then I just hit buttons on the wildfire until it says 5809......I bet I am doing that wrong arnt i??....lol.....thanks for your help ....and u can text I would appreciate it ...!!...272 788 1429 lenny
