796 I've had my Air Unit sitting powered up on the bench for a good 10 minutes with no additional air cooling and I don't get that issue. How are you powering the Air Unit with no LiPo? Is it connected directly to a standalone power supply? If yes, what voltage and output current is it set to?

1 no no it is connected to some my child 2x 2s made 4s out of it lipos from his rc car but it does not have enough discharge rate to fly with them ;p
there was a day when i was playing with filters and let it be connected to battery without any colling for like 10-15min - without connected glasses also... i thought that this 'temp control' without armed etc is designed tol be fine even withoud colling... ?

796 21-Apr-2021, 12:06 PM (This post was last modified: 21-Apr-2021, 12:06 PM by SnowLeopardFPV.) While the Air Unit does get quite hot, it takes a lot to overheat it, and it has built in protection to reduce power if it starts getting too hot. You can even run the Air Unit with no antennas attached and it won't get damaged.
It therefore sounds like you probably have a hardware issue with either the DJI Air Unit or the DJI FPV Goggles. Do you have another Air Unit you can bind the goggles to and do some tests with? That would then either confirm or rule out the googles as being the cause of the issue.

796 I don't think the first Air Unit got killed from an overheating issue. More than likely some other QC issue with the manufacturing of that particular unit. Probably a faulty IC somewhere on the board.

1 it is even more strange
just from ciuriosity because OSD was always sended to googles correctly so maybe air unit is ok
and i swapped cameras from new air to old
and now old works fine and new have same issue !! so camera is broken and caused this somehow !! ;/
is there any other camera that will fit or only original air unit camera?

796 DJI have stopped manufacturing the 1080P DJI Camera but some vendors may still have some left in stock. Your alternative is to use one of the Caddx Nebula cameras which does also work with the DJI Air Unit. One thing to be aware of is that the Nebula camera only outputs in 720P so that either means the video recorded onto the Air Unit will only be in 720P, or it will be 720P upscaled to 1080P. I'm not sure which, but either way the image quality of any footage recorded by the Air Unit with a Nebula camera will be lower than that from a DJI Camera.

1 but dji told that will produce system of equal performance right ? so probably 1080p caddx is 'on the way' ?
