I'd like to try using bigger motors but still with biblades on these 4" micro LR frames and turn them into quiet rippers. Also would like to try a ultra lightweight 7 incher.

biblades are louder than triblades, as more blades as more quiet.
the gf4023x3 will be quiet :-)

seems he is using new generation xnova 1804 motors https://www.xnovamotors.com/motors/xnova...er-motors/

I always hear that but I actually think my 4 inch biblades are far quieter than my 3 inch triblades. Or maybe its just a lower pitch?

That has been my experience as well. My 5 inch quads are much louder than my old 6 inch quad was with biblades.

this is an unfair comparison xD

the same uaw will be more silent on a bigger rotor diameter from the lower rpm.
@ronin your 4inch is the same weight like your 3inch?
@sugs your 6inch is the same weight like your 5inch?

my 140g uaw 5inch was awesome silent, my 70g uaw 3inch was also very quiet.
more blades and longer rotors give more uplift on a lower rpm, less weight less rpm needed

biblades are noticeable louder, just give it a try on the same build

how in the world did you make 5" that is 140g with battery and everything?

easy, more like 130g than 140g;
old 1306 motors, 20g frame and a 450mah 2s battery
