Crossfire Micro / Manba F4 fc
#1
Hi

Need some advice before I purchase the crossfire micro bundle. I run the manba f4 stack in all my race builds and use the taranis QX7. Also run XM receivers currently.

1. Will the crossfire mod be compatible with the manba f4 fc due to uart inversion / un inversion. And is it possible to change in the cli to make it work?

2. Does crossfire need two uarts (receive and transmit) I assume a third uart is not required for smart audio? I'm limited on uarts on the manba stack.

3. Should I be looking at the access protocol instead to reduce latency?

Thanks in advance you guys have been awesome in the past.

1. should work without any change, the SBUS inversion is automatic as far as I know
2. only need one UART, but you'll need both TX and RX pins - smart audio can be passed through Crossfire RX protocol, and you don't need a separate UARt for that, however I've not tried this myself
3. Honestly the latency difference is not noticeable. I tried ACCESS and i can hardly feel a difference between ACCESS and ACCST. Mostly just marketing BS IMO. A solid link is more important.

When I used a rxsr I had to use a different small pad on the receiver. think it was for uninverted. If it came to it can you change the inversion in the cli?

Inversion on F4 is a hardware thing, you can't change it in CLI.
Crossfire is not inverted, so you don't need change do anything.

for the q7 you need to do a mod for crossfire; change the baudrate (increase latency) or buy a small part and solder it inside of the taranis (tiny solderwork)
otherwise your q7 will bother you with wrong informations: telemetry lost - telemetry recovered - lost - recovered. this is made by frsky to bring costumers to their bad r9 system. frsky is a bad unfriendly vompany dont honor this with buy the bad r9 system. crossfire is better in anyway. direction of frsky for the future is unkown bad,
frsky is ...... (choose bad words by sour own x-)

(i guess on the rxsr you can change inverted/noninverted on the receiver itself if needed, it will be descripted on the frsky page...)

Depending on the F4 FC, you can change the inversion through the resource inverter.
