Converting this guy (Iflgiht Dove Lite v3)
#1
Hey guys
i'm trying to figure out if there is a way to convert this guy to DJI.
The problem is that the height between the top and bottom plate is only 25mm and i'm using a Kakute f7 stack which is already 17mm height + 13mm of a caddx vista it won't fit in.

My idea was to simply put some nut under the top place in order to raise up the top place, but at that point the 2 verticals plate for the cam would not stuck between  top and bottom plates, since the top plate would be raised up...  does any tpu camera holder exist to be printed in 3d?

Any solution?

This is the frame.

If you raise the top plate with taller standoffs you will probably have to use a 3D print for the camera mount. There are a few on Thingiverse at the links below but only for the normal standoffs, so you either have to modify one of those or design your own.

Yes Snow my friend, that was my idea but i found only fixed angle stand offs ... i'd like to get a standoff with orientable angle... i guess i have to design my own on thinkercad

I created a 3D Camera of the caddix\airunit with the measures i got and modified the first link you gave me Snow, the 45° fixed one... it could work like this.

Yes, that should work. You will also need to add some height to account for the taller standoffs. It will probably take a bit of trial and error. When I'm doing R&D with prints I usually slice thin sections off the design and print those to check if I got fit and dimensions correct before wasting a load of TPU on printing the whole item which could then turn out to be junk.

I was thinking to use 2 nuts and a longer screw to raise up the top plate, so that the standoffs remain the same i'm already using. : )

how about one of these new high power aio boards.
Would safe height

of course you would need to make an adapter to whoop board mount

Yes, I guess you can do that. Personally I would just get some proper standoffs that are longer so it looks nicer and then extend the camera mount to the height of the new standoffs. But it's probably just my OCD that would make me do it that way Big Grin

Update.
I raised up the top plate putting 2 nuts under and above each standoff like in the picture. Now i got approx 34mm space between bottom and top plate. I think it should be enough. Monday i will receive caddx and test it Big Grin

That doesn't look too out of place TBH and probably wouldn't affect my OCD too much Big Grin It will be good to see how well the Vista fits when you get it.

There you go with the image of the final result. It was INSANE to make everything fit in... I had also to print a board to adapt 30x30 to 20x20 of the caddx. The mount i designed for the cam works pretty well. :Smile
