Choosing parts for a build
#1
Hello all!
I hope Santa brought you all cool presentsSmile
I have a question for u guys.

I have a t motor f55 4 in 1 esc lying around and...
I would like to build a new 6S rig with it.

The question is this :
Is there any benefit in selecting parts of the same brand, other than simplicity of wiring?

In other words, would i have a better flying quad if i bought a t motor Flight controller and t motor motors to match the esc?

My plan is to buy a kakute f7 FC and Xing motors.

Cheers,

No need to stick with manufacturers  for compatibility.  What you want to use will work fine.

There is no particular reason to have parts on your quad all from the same manufacturer unless it's just something you like to do with having "matching" parts all from the same manufacturer, a bit like having a Nike hoodie, Nike jogging bottoms, and Nike trainers Big Grin

Where FC's and ESC's are concerned, yes it can sometimes simplify things because a manufacturer will sometimes provide their own wiring harnesses that simply just plug between the boards without having to mess about with swapping wires over or custom made harnesses, but that is all. Motors are all the same from a wiring perspective so it makes no difference whatsoever.

I just ordered a Kakute F7 Mini and it looks like a straightforward board to wire up. There instructions are some of the clearest out in the parts world. Looking forward to watching this build come together!
