Charging/Storing a 10,000mah battery
#1
Is it safe to charge a 6s 10k mah batteries at 1C or 10amps?  That seems really high.
Is it safer to charger at .5C or 5 amps?

Also, is there any actual lipo safe bag for a 6s 10,000mah batteries?

I feel like if something happens, there isn't anything that would really retain it..
The $10 lipo bags on Amazon would have no chance, no idea what everyone is doing with them.

Still going with the lipo instead of the other battery?

Yes, it is safe to charge at 1C. But 0.5C can prolong the life of the lipo, maybe.

Bomb shelter is best for charging these things. Smile If you don't have access to shelter, then an ammo case. Or in an oven. Or on concrete away from anything.

Yeah, the lipo is just easier and smaller.
Thinking if I should get one of these bigger bat-safe cases.

I think a case would be safer than those lipo bag. Have you seen video of those lipo bag, they don't seem to do much.

Don't sweat the size, they are the same only bigger. Big Grin  I charge my 8000mAh lipo at 1C, that is the manufacturers recommendation and the industry standard.  You will be fine at 1C.

Lipo bags are a joke with any battery of any real size.  On a concrete slab like the garage floor is the most fireproof.  If you put it in an ammo can, be sure the ammo can has either the seal removed or some holes drilled in it.  Also, the can is going to get hot with a lipo light off....so don't have it sitting on anything combustible as you will have sympathetic ignition.

Krohsis, good point about the holes or removal of seal on ammo. I use my ammo can with lid closed but not locked down. Can you say ammo can bomb?
