Cant connect to KISS FC V2
#1
I cant connect to my brand new KISS FC V2 using the latest GUI (2.0.18)

Only thing I can do is use the bootloader button to force bootloader mode and get to the FC flasher page. I then update to the latest firmware and can't connect to the FC.
I see COM4 in GUI but nothing happens when I click connect. I also see the ''Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COM4)'' in my device manager.

I've contacted Flyduino multiple times about this, their response was to update my Silicon Labs USB to UART Bridge drivers. So I deleted the drivers, restarted my PC and reinstalled the latest driver from the link they provided.

Still no luck. I'd like to try dfuse to flash my FC but I don't get any devices in the dfuse demo program. I don't know how to put the FC V2 in DFU mode.

Been having this problem for about a week
Thank you for your time,

Did you select "delete the driver software for this device" when you are uninstall the driver.

If you've already done what Voodoo suggested, I would try it on another computer if you have access to one.

No I did not, should I do this?

Edit: So I've done this and lost the COM4 as expected, reinstalled the USB to UART drivers, I now get the COM4 again but can't do anything else than bootloader FC flasher. (as before)

I've tried on a friend's PC and it didn't work too, I didn't have much time to try different things on his PC.
The next thing would be trying a MAC, I've heard they have less USB driver issues of this sort

I fixed it by using the ''select remote firmware'' instead of using the ''select local firmware'' when flashing the FC. For some reason it wasn't flashing the fw properly the other way, even tho I was using the right fw (KISSFC-1.3-RC40o.hex)

Although it might have been more than one issue that needed fixing, changing drivers etc.

Posting this for anyone having this issue in the future
Edit: I was actually using the wrong github registry all along, this is the one for the V2.
