Can't find d8 or d16 transmitter, please help!
#1
Hi everyone,
I am a total beginner in fpv and just bought my first quad, a tinyhawk freestyle. I just need a transmitter for it but this is giving me some problems. The protocol of the onboard reciever is frsky d8/d16, but i cant seem to straight up find a radio in that protocol. The frsky controllers that i can find now have the ACCES protocol and although it is possible to get them back via software updates its really hard, especially for a beginner like me. So now i am looking for a controller with d8/d16 already installed, but i cant find anything. Im probably doing something wrong or missing something so i wanted to ask you guys for advice and to know what you are using. Im looking for a d8/d16 transmitter that i can use for a long while and is under 150 dollars. Please help

The Radiomaster TX16S is dead on $150, but supports FrSky D8/D16 and almost everything else. It also has a module bay if you decide to go for Crossfire at a later date, uses OpenTX and runs on 18650 cells, which you can charge internally.

I've not tried one, but it has a lot of people singing its praises at the moment.

The ground is for dead people.

Jumper t8 or t12 are also d8/d18 compliant. I have a t8sg and it is a good little radio..

you can get a jumper t16 v2 pro from team Blacksheep for 119.00. If I was in the market that is what I would get.

I bought the FrSky X-Lite S 2.4GHz Radio Controller and the add on FrSky 2.4GHz 16 Channel XJT Lite External Module. I love it because it is just like an X-Box controller. It works great with my Emax Hawk Pro.
