Can I mount an ESC with a zip tie
#1
Do the pads on ESCs get hot while they're in operation

I'm using a 4 in 1 50 amp ESC with motors that draw a decent amount less than that.

If I mount one with a zip tie would there be a risk of the zip tie melting or would it be fine

A zip tie will not melt during flight by heat from the ESC. Most ESC’s will not allow temperature to go above 140 deg centigrade.
