Broken camera plug on diamond f4
#1
So, I broke the camera connector off my diamond f4 aio and the +5v and camera pads went with it... Is there any way to connect cam/video in somewhere else on the board?
Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately you can't remap the camera video input to another pad so if there is no remaining trace left to the original pad that you can scrape the solder mask off to expose the copper so you can solder to it, the only thing left that you can do do is to try and locate the video in junction point between the 75Ω resistor and the 0.1µF capacitor (the other end of which connects to the VIN pin [pin#22] on the 28-pin MAX7456E / AT7456E OSD chip) and try to solder a wire to that. You can see the schematic for that CVBS input connection point in the following post...

Incredible- your wisdom knows no bounds. Thank you for such a well informed answer
Ok, i was able to scrape the trace enough to solder to. hopefully that does the trick. What would you suggest to secure the wire to the board so it doesn't get pulled on? I have all sorts of adhesives and it's far enough away from other components, would epoxy or something be a bad idea?

After you solder a wire to the scraped pad, a dab of hot glue should be sufficient.
