there are benefits for both options, i didnt notice this, but i have rarly reversed props. intressting to hear this experience. something to mention, if older (unused) props; the props can lose strenght over time... some props have faults aswell.
i guess reversed is in trend at the moment, pretty personal choice about personal priorities.

Can't say that I experience any more props breakage.

Reversed props just make sense IMO. Before making the switch I would massacre my camera lenses with sand pitting to the point where I had to replace them after a day or two out at the beach. Outward facing props solved that issue, as well as saving my HD footage from stray hitch hiking grass blades.

The one disadvantage of props out is your electronics gets all the grass, dirt and sand.

^^^^^ This is why I run props in except on my whoops. I'd rather be wiping the camera lens clean with a cloth between LiPo changes than trying to scoop crap and other contamination out from between all the boards in the stack.

I hate goo on my FPV cam, so grass in the USB port is the way to go ^^

btw, you can just use a bit of scotch tape or whatever to cover the stack if you need it.
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car
