BetaFPV F4 FR 2S flight controller issues.

You can just check the 5V pad with multimeter to make sure.

Are you holding boot button to get into DFU mode, then reflash firmware?

Yes, I have tried that several times, BUT the DFU mode never appears....I can plug in anyone of my other flight controllers and everything pulls up just fine.

Also after holding down the boot button then powering up the FC, it nevr stops flashing.....everything was working fine but I was trying to convert the FC where it would take use ELRS as per the video from Drainman.....he was showing that you could convert any mico drone as long as it was SPI Rx built in RX in which this FC showed to be, but after I updated the firmware as he showed, I lost connection and no matter what i've tried, nothing works.

Here is the video that I was referring too.

Have you tried flash back to previous firmware and see if you can connect to BFC?

I have gotten it to flash back but tried to update it again and now im locked out.....been having better luck on my Mac book for connecting but now its not letting me back in even through it....when I hold down the boot button then power the flight controller back up, the light never stops flashing like it should....has there been problems with the boot button not working every time?

You can check the continuity of the boot button to make sure it is working.

Were you able to connect when you flash back to prior firmware?

Yes I was able to connect a couple of times, just had no luck last night, I will check the button. If it’s working, the light should stop flashing right?

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with what all the lights means.

oh ok...I thought I had read somewhere, once you press the boot button that all FC lights will be on solid that will let you know that its in boot load mode?

on many fcs, there comes solid light in bootmode - if betaflight recognize dfu mode it worked for sure.

dont miss to push the button while power the fc

Normally I just go with what BFC and don't usually worry about the lights.

The LEDs should stop flashing and either change to a solid colour (non-flashing), or go off completely when the FC is in DFU mode.

You can also manually put the FC into DFU (booloader) mode if you go to the CLI tab and type the "BL" command.

Thanks guys for all the help.....I finally got it back to stock, I guess my boot button was not always shorting out like it should have been.

Also, I guess there is no way to convert this FC to ELRS as per the drainman video that I watched, unless I missed something?

If anyone else has had any luck with making this work, please steer me in the right direction! lol

Although I might be wrong, but I don't think all whoop can be converted to ELRS. Logically it just doesn't make sense. For example, if your FC doesn't have a SPI receiver built-in, there is no way to magically make a receiver with just software.

Let's say that if you do have a SPI Frsky receiver, you might be able to convert it over. Unfortunately, I haven't come across anything else that makes this claim.

Honestly, I would not get your hopes up.
