28-Jul-2021, 08:38 PM I have GEPRC Crock5 hooked up to X9 Lite, and I am getting 3 short beeps, 3 long beeps then 3 short beeps again when trying to arm . It looks good in BF, how to troubleshoot ? 28-Jul-2021, 09:02 PM It might just be the GPS fix status. That is one of the downsides of the DJI FPV Goggles not displaying the Betaflight Warning OSD element. If you're able to record the actual beep pattern and then post it, it will be easier for us to try and diagnose. 28-Jul-2021, 10:12 PM This explains the beeps: https://github.com/betaflight/betaflight...e-&-Safety I don't use GPS, but isn't there a setting to not allow you to take off unless you have at least 5+ satellites fixed? If that is the cause you could disable that and fly before the GPS gets its lock, or wait for it to get GPS lock. Not sure if that's the problem, just going by your description of the beeps and that page I linked above. Basically you count the beeps and do a little math[ (5 * <number of long beeps>) + <number of short beeps> ] and that gives you the # code, and you look up that # in the list to see why it won't arm. 29-Jul-2021, 12:34 AM Yeah...it was GPS, I was recording beeps and then tried again and then it armed and took off, appreciate your help 29-Jul-2021, 05:40 AM If you do not want to wait for a GPS fix then you can toggle on the function: Allow Arming Without Satellite Fix in the Betaflight Configurator> Failsafe> GPS Rescue section. But once you do this and you have no GPS fix, Betaflight will disable GPS Rescue for that flight. 29-Jul-2021, 10:28 AM (This post was last modified: 29-Jul-2021, 10:33 AM by SnowLeopardFPV. Edit Reason: Added colour coding to the beep pattern. ) (29-Jul-2021, 12:34 AM)niuk Wrote: Yeah...it was GPS, I was recording beeps and then tried again and then it armed and took off, appreciate your help No problem. Unfortunately the document that MrSolo posted a link to only details arming disabled beep codes that prevent arming of a quad and not other beep codes that still occur after arming but don't necessarily prevent you from arming and taking off. There's another document HERE but it's not up-to-date so doesn't include some of the beep codes in the latest Betaflight versions (there are about 9 additional beep codes which are missing from that document). The GPS related beep patterns you get after arming a quad are below. Arming with a GPS Fix (4 short beeps -> da-daa-da-daa) Beeper on ---> 5ms Beeper off --> 5ms Beeper on ---> 15ms Beeper off --> 5ms Beeper on ---> 5ms Beeper off --> 5ms Beeper on ---> 15ms Beeper off Arming with no GPS Fix (3 medium beeps -> daa-daa-daa) Beeper on ---> 30ms Beeper off --> 5ms Beeper on ---> 30ms Beeper off --> 5ms Beeper on ---> 30ms Beeper off 29-Jul-2021, 08:02 PM Is your throttle joy stick all the way towards you when you hit the arm switch? |
