Battery unstable smoke stopper signal
#1
Hi Guys!
I’ve connected one side of the smoke stopper to my battery and i notice a green light showing on the smoke stopper which is a good signal. However, when i slightly turn the battery while holding the smoke stopper i see that sometimes the green light disappear and im confused about this. The green light gets back when i turn the battery on initial position. Im not sure whether there is an issue with the battery or that it is not stable enough.

I appreciate your feedback!

You don't say which smokestopper you have but if it's the VIFLY ShortSaver then the green LED denotes that the circuit is getting power from the LiPo via the XT30 or XT60 connector. So if the green LED goes off when you orientate the LiPo a different way it means you have a bad/intermittent connection somewhere between the pigail wires on the LiPo from where they are actually soldered to the cells to where the XT30/XT60 socket is soldered to the smoke stopper. Inspect the solder joints on the XT30/XT60 sockets of the smokestopper for any dry or cracked solder joints. If that looks OK then check the XT30/XT60 plug on the LiPo itself. If that looks OK then it might be a solder joint issue inside the wrapping of the LiPo itself. If you start cutting the heat shrink / wrapping off the LiPo to investigate that, just be careful not to short anything out.

Thank @SnowLeopardFPV.
I have the URUAV 1-6S 33V Amass XT6 smoke stopper.
The smoke stopper is new and i tried it for the first time so i dont expect something is wrong with the smoke stopper. But i will check. So understanding from your reply, i cannot go further with current state right? I should order a new battery if the issue is not solved then? A few months ago i posted abother topic about my FC that it dont get power when it is plugged in to the battery, so there might be a link to this current issue.

As someone who has worked in tech for many years, NEVER assume that with electronics. Especially with this niche hobby grade gear.
