Barometer covered with nail polish
#1
I was trying to waterproof my board and I covered it with a layer of nail polish. Days later I relised there is that tiny whole on the barometer and I've just probably ruined it.

Is there are chance of the barometer still working if I wash the nail polish of with acetone or just scrape it off?

Haha.... Just realised that I did the same thing without thinking.

As long as it didn't go into the hole, should be easy enough to scrape off.

How's your barometer behaving though?

This is what mine does while stationary

When I booted up FC it was at zero

Try putting a a small piece of open cell foam over the barometer IC. Until I did that on mine it would drift like yours is doing.

Mine also drifts slowly.
I don't really worry about it as I don't do much with it. However, am thinking of a long range build so will definitely need to know altitude better then.
