Really starting to feel that 4S packs would be better for this craft.  The 3500kv motors feel like they are missing responsiveness that might be nice to have

Then the childlike - run back 'home to mummy' like "Man, that was close!" 

Nice save when you lost VTX over the trees....

Thank you Tom and Krohsis, the ground there...very sticky and there was the strange vortex of VTX blockage.

There does not seem to be any reason that the VTX signal should have broken up like that and my first thought was let it fall...then like magic, it was back!  It was all very exciting afterward! 

That VTX is a 25mw Lumenier, so maybe a signal drove by and interfered.  It was a singular event that did not repeat, but honestly...once was enough!

Ordering some 4S packs tomorrow, hopefully they provide some smoother power.

Sadly there aren't any options between a 550mAh 3S and an 850mAh 4S, but check out Indestructible Quads 'black label' batteries, before you commit to anything. Ke the guy who runs it has the most amazing customer service attitude and quit his day job to provide great quality products for the hobby. Carl.Vegas (aka LiPo Killah) has puffed at least one of every other type of battery he has, but not the Black Labels. (At least, not yet as far as I'm aware!)

They might not be fully "race spec", but they are great quality for cheap, also supporting a fellow hobbyist is good karma. 

He sent me a pack with a bad cell for free in my order, he had replaced it for one of his customers. (I did ask for it after he mentioned the possibility in the RCG thread, and despite the additional weight he didn't charge any extra for international shipping!)
