9V on Mamba DJI F722 MK2
#1
Wondering why the recommendation to use VCC for 3-4S instead of 9V? (the MK1 diagram says "Lower than 4S").

I think the diagrams linked for the MK2 on the Diatone support site are actually the MK1, attached is the MK2 diagram that came with my stack.

Even though there's plenty of range between 4S the 26.4V limit, I do remember reading one of Oscar's articles where he was still preferring regulated when VCC wasn't well below the limit.

The 9V LED comes on when I connect a 4S, I haven't tried measuring the 9V out yet.

Last I recall looking up Diatone manuals they were very lacking as was their site. Using a 9v pad makes the most sense for DJI, go with that. Also you can't do greater than 4s on an Air Unit (Vista you can) so maybe that is what they're saying.

Don't see a link so not sure what you're seeing.

Ah sorry, I failed at attachment.

They're saying to use 9V for 6S but VCC for 3 or 4.

Yes it is a Vista so I figure would be fine either way, just a bit confusing what they've specified. Can't imagine there'd be any current delivery issues from the regulator with 4S input?

Ah so they have a set of pads you need to bridge to make it 9v or vbat. Sounds like it might already be bridged for 9v mode. I'd confirm that to be sure, maybe the 9v led lights up in either mode.

Yep it defaults with the bridge to 9V, just checked with a meter and that's what I get.

Now of all the things I could be waiting on to finish a build, it's M2 standoffs, and they have to go in before the vista antenna mount.
