75mm Tinywhoop wobbles/shakes/jello when using 3 or 4 blade props
#1
Hi,

I have 2 homebuild Walksnail 2s tinywhoop that flies great on Gemfan 1610 2-bladed props, even when the props are badly beaten.
I tried some other props, Gemfan 1635, 1636 and 1608 and HQ (dont remember exact model) 3 and 4 bladed props and the whoop
wobbles/shakes + pretty bad jello in flight no matter which one i use...
Why is this? The props are brand new.

As soon as i changed them back to 1610 biblades they flew great again..

Spec whoop 1:
Betaflight 4.4.3
Happymodel mobula7 V3 frame
Rcinpower 1002 14000kv motors
Happymodel superX HD FC
Tattu 2s 450mah battery

Spec whoop 2:
Betaflight 4.4.3
Happymodel mobula7 V3 frame
Ldarc 1102 9300kv motors
Happymodel superX HD FC
Tattu 2s 450mah battery

Most likely this is due to the fact that the props are generating more thrust and the PID loop is over driven.

Go into betaflight configurator and turn down the master multiplier by a bit.  If it is at 1.4 then turn down to 1.2.  If at 1.1 turn down to 0.9 and etc.

This may help with the wobbles.   bit of a risnse and repeat situation, keep adjusting MM until the wobbles go.  It should work.

If not then try keeping MM at the value it was and turn down P or D values.

Thanks.

I tried to turn the master multiplier up and down (0.6 -1.4)  but only makes it worse...
I dont know much about tuning, which ones are the P and D values?

The second one, Tracking. Maybe turn that down to 1.1 and turn up Damping to 0.9. Leave Master Multiplier at 1.

Thanks, I'll try that and see how it goes

Rather than messing around with PID values, try to increase the rpm filtering by sliding both sliders a bit to the left. If it is at 1.0 stock, try sliding to 0.8. That has worked for me for a couple 2S builds.

Thanks ph2t and segler999!

I turned down the P a few steps and increased the rpm filtering a bit now the whoop flies great on 3 and 4 bladed props Smile
But the flight time decreased almost a minute and i don't really feel any difference
(I'm just an average pilot) so now i'm not sure if i want to keep them lol.
