Big fan of the forum, hope you like this first post.

In Australia the rules are tight as anywhere, if you can get something up in the air at under 100 grams then it makes things a bit easier to fly safely.  I found this size is useful for getting the opportunity to practice as the five inch is a beast in the air that requires a lot of space to really enjoy (and make mistakes in).

On 2S this thing I quiet as.  On 3S you have to sustain throttle at 100% for a while to start getting heads turning.

On 2S lipo the AUW is 99 grams.

Here's a video of it in action.

I run a combination of packs.  I built a bunch of 2S packs from 550mAh whoop lihvs.  I also have a couple of 3S 450mAh packs.   It screams on 3S.

I have found that using PID profiles (one profile for 2S and another for 3S) help keep it stable in the air.  I've had better luck with BF 3.5.7 than BF 4.0.3 for 3S.  On 3S it is a wobbler if not tuned correctly.  Still tuning it though and will have fun doing it!

Here are some other pics.

It is a bottom battery mount setup.

Awesome little quad and really good flight times on 3s especially as you were giving it a bit. Little Mozzie hammers.

I love the idea of making 2s packs from 1s. I have a heap of them just lying around. Thanks for that idea Smile.

Thanks mate!  Cheers.  Yeah the 2s packs are handy to have, happy to share the idea.

The motors are mamba 1105 5500KV motors which I think work well for this size frame and wanting to fly 3s.  They are rated for 4s as well but I dunno, that's a bit nuts at 88mm, lol..

cheers,
ph2t.
