A while back I sought help (in the beginners forum) for building an FPV RC Tank.

Now, I am done Big Grin Posted my first video on Youtube. All the details are in the video description. Pretty proud of the build, for a firsttimer! Now to convince my friends to go FPV and we're set Big Grin

Got some external phone or camera footage of the tank taken in action / moving etc ?
Would like to see some of the terrain it can handle.
Very cool project.

Heya! Yeah, I do, but not on Youtube yet. There's some footage on our Facebook page, I made one video of us battling with smaller 1:24 IR tanks, and in the second part my 1:16 T-34 drives around as well in our make-shift battlefield: https://www.facebook.com/100008219410945...741713114/

@Blowsmoke: At 3:50 I shoot it once (at myself), but it's too far to see the bullet fly. On our Facebook page I have some pics where I test the shooting in my garden, there you can see them fly better. The mic on the VTX also ensures you hear hits on your own tank, which is important if we want to do combat.

Still waiting for more friends to join up though. We only started with RC tanks in november 2019, and I started exploring FPV tanks since January. But we're bound to have a blast :-)

lmfao did you put the audio afterward to the video or does it make that noise when you shoot? And does it really shake like that when you shoot? HOW does it shake like that lolol it looks like it's actually shooting haha that's ridiculous ;D

Big Grin The tank has a built in speaker. BB RC tanks move back and forth quickly when shooting to simulate recoil, which is actually nonsense because 35 ton tanks don't really move thàt much when shooting a 85mm round, but it's a very cool effect :-) IR tanks have retracting barrels when shooting.

Ah well, not on facebook, can't see link, but if / when you post to YouTube, maybe pop back here with a link ?
Have fun with that, sounds like it'll be a great group.

I've watched a few of these vids on YT the past week, very nice gaming simulations . . .

Thanks! I totally agree, it's very intense, and you experience the terrain entirely differently.

I made a new video of some driving in my yard and shooting some targets, also with footage of the tank from 2 camcorder setups:
