why does my velocidrone take forever to load. i installed per youtube vid

Could be any number of things. What spec is your machine (including graphics card)?

The term "Slow" can be subjective. What is the actual time it takes to load from double-clicking on the VelociDrone icon until the main menu appears with the Multiplayer, Single Player, Track Editor and Options tiles? Also, if you haven't launched it for a while it will do an integrity check and go off and check for updates if it needs to.

Make sure you shut down any other programs on your machine that you're not going to be using while playing VelociDrone to give you machine the best chance of allocating as many free resources to VelociDrone as possible.

The actual loading process of VelociDrone isn't particularly fast on my machine but in not unacceptable and once the sim is running, actually playing the sim itself seems to be fine. I have quite an oldish PC but it has a 2GB of memory in the graphics card which probably helps. No much by today's standards but it seems to do the job. From double-clicking the VelociDrone icon it takes an average of 1 minute 10 seconds to get to the main tile menu. On occasions it's taken over 3 minutes but that is generally after a cold PC boot and with VelociDrone seemingly needing some updates during startup.
