Nazgul Evoque F5 V2 analog camera insert
#1
Hi all,

I bought a Nazgul Evoque F2 analog a year ago as a backup.
Started using it over the weekend but not happy with the camera holder rubber. I can't really tighten the screws. Camera still moves.
Could anyone help me  with an STL to replace it with more solid stuff ?
I didn't find it anywhere... Probably because analog is dead ....
Here is the rubber insert:

Hmm must be a golden oldie, nothing showing @ iflight to download a stl file even tho they have newer stuff available there. *shrugs*

A couple things you could do:

1 - Make sure that the mounting screw is not grounding out because it's too long, try fitting an extra washer or two along the sides between the print an screw or use shorter screws.

2 - Make your own mount. It looks to be a simple triangle with greatly rounded points. Lay it on a piece of paper and trace the mount as is. Remove and replace the mount with a straight edge to extend the straight lines of the triangle to get accurate lengths of the sides. Knowing now the dimensions of the triangle, punch that into whatever you CAD with, measure the offset from outer to inner triangle and put that into your "drawing". Round the 3 corners to fit... easy peasy... Smile

gotta wanna tho...

Thanks. But I wanted to do the lazy way.... Click & Collect

I've already done the washer and screw trick but still moves if it is pushed... Not as easily as before though

The iFlight Chimera 7 V2 uses the same camera mounting adapter as the Nazgul Evoque F5/F6 V2. See the link below on Cults3D. It's not free but for the sake of 43p it's probably worth just buying to save yourself having to get the shape right. If you need different holes then just remix it by filling in the existing holes and then putting a new hole in the location of your choice...

I believe the v2 is designed specifically for the O3 camera which has a much shorter lens and needs the silicone gummies for soft mounting the gyro. Even if you get a stiffer print in there, a non-O3 camera lens will protrude out as in your photo and won't have any protection in a crash. Maybe you can drill out M2 holes further back in the CNC mount and use that to mount your camera. Otherwise I don't know if the older Evoque CNC mounts would fit the V2 frame or if they can still be purchased, but they might fit the non-O3 cameras better and provide protection.

Is it a V2 or F2? Anyways, generic search @thingiverse

...or make a round washer out of thin hobby plywood, place washer on outside of existing mount with appropriate longer screw. Can't see why that wouldn't work.

I had a look on Thingiverse, Printables.com and Yeggi.com but there is nothing for the Nazgul Evoque camera mounts. Only Cults3D has something, so in case you missed that see post #4 in this thread for details.

If you collect some scissors and click your way around in a circle on a sheet of 150 grit sandpaper you could quickly shape a circle. Punch a hole in your creation and mount this disk between the camera (rough side toward cam) and mount.
