The FCC hack is applied to the Caddx Vista. See Oscar's article below for the procedure...

https://oscarliang.com/dji-fpv-system-fcc-700mw

If you also want to enable the 1200mW mode you also need to apply a hack to the goggles as detailed in another of Oscar's articles at the link below...

https://oscarliang.com/dji-fpv-system-1200mw-output

Alternatively, root the goggles and install WTFOS if you haven't already done so. Then install the fcc-unlock package. Doing that will automatically apply the FCC hack and will make sure it is persisted every time you boot up the Vista and/or your goggles.

Keep in mind that if you're flying bandos you generally want to try and use as low a power as possible because higher power outputs can cause more multipathing that the VTX and goggles then have to try and deal with.

Apologies. I saw "Vista" and "2" for the goggles but my brain didn't function properly so I assumed you were using all first generation DJI FPV System gear. That is DJI using dumb naming conventions for their goggles which just confuses everyone.

The procedure for unlocking FCC mode on the DJI Goggles 2 simply requires you to put an empty file in the rood of the SD card with a file name of "ham_cfg_support". Oscar has a brief section about doing that in his article for the DJI O3 Air Unit and DJI Goggles 2 at the link below...

https://oscarliang.com/dji-o3-air-unit-f...k-FCC-Mode

Oscar Liang Wrote:Unlock FCC Mode

In FCC mode, there should be 7 available channels in the 20MHz mode, and 3 available channels in the 40MHz mode.

If your Goggles 2 are shipped with CE mode (to comply with European regulations), they will be limited in terms of output power (only 25mW) and channels. There will be only 1 available channel in the 40MHz mode and 3 available channels in the 20MHz mode.

You can perform the “FCC hack” to unlock higher output power (more range and signal penetration) and more channels (allows more pilots in the air at the same time) if that’s legal where you fly. It’s simply a file you place in the goggles. Note that it’s NOT the naco text file we previously used with the Vista but the process is similar.

To switch to FCC mode, the method is exactly the same as for the DJI Avata drone. Simply get the file “ham_cfg_support” and unzip it to the root directory of the SD card and put it in the goggles.

To check if you are in FCC mode, go to Settings => Transmission => Channel Mode, switch to Manual, under 40MHz bandwidth, you should see 3 channels available in FCC mode. If you are in CE mode, it will only show 1 channel there.

The FCC mode is permanent, however you can go back to CE mode from FCC mode by factory reset the headset (in the menu Settings / About).
