What frame do you have? Might be easier to make a template and drill new holes if your arms are big enough.

Here's something that could be 3D printed if you have access. Just need to do recessed holes on each side of the adapter so you can sink your screws so they are flush on both sides so your motor can sit flat on the adapter as well as the adapter sit flat on the arm. You'd need nyloc nuts on the bottom of the arms to hold adapters to the arm probably. Could do a press nut setup on the adapters too I guess but then you need perfect length screws to make it work.

Or if you want I could cut out of carbon on my cnc.

I'd personally just drill new holes or elongate the 9x9 holes on the arms if possible tho. Much less weight that way.

The frame is a tadpole 3'HD. Wanted to replace the motors on the build i made with it for some shiny new rcinpower beasts, only to find out i got the wrong motor spacing only after i already unsoldered the old once. Duhhh. Put them back on while investigating options as its one of my fav flyers ;-)
Its not a biggie as flies great in current setup, but it kept nagging as it begs for even more power as my acro sckill have made some jumps hahaha.
Have not though of drilling out 2 of the existing holes (to not weaken the arm too much and 2 will do) which may actualy indeed be the simplest. Although come to think of it , have never drilled in carbon. Do i need a special drill for that ?
Thanks for the 3d designs. A good option b.

btw thanks for the cnc option. If all else fails i may hold you up on that as i doubt my wife would allow me to buy a cnc machine for in our appartement......... ;-)

If you’re drilling in carbon fiber, wear a mask and/or do it wet. Carbon fiber dust will damage the hell out of your lungs.
Dangerous operations.

Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.

Thanks for all the tips. I think (after a night of sleep) i am leaving this baby alone and just keep flying it as it is and safe them for another build in the future.
I already have another 3 inch that clocked 180Km/hr last test (massive droner frame build) that satisfied my thirst for speed so keep the Tadpole as a nice less agressive freestyle bird.

Just found out Armattan sells frame conversion kits to replace the bottom frame plate to cary 12mm motors. Nice...

edit : ordered a  3.5 inch , 12mm motor conversion kit ;-). An extra .5 inch never hurt anyone...
Resistance is futile (just dont tell my wife or i am a dead man walkig)
