Anyone using these motors ? I fitted a set to my light qav frame yesterday along with some dys xs20a esc's, upon testing it would appear these are ccw motors. I connected them as I have many other motor/esc combination, but all 4 motors are spinning in the wrong direction, this in itself isn't a problem as they can be reversed via Blheli ? But, I'm sure I've read this can lead to desync ? Any thoughts guys ?

Switch any two motor wires around if you want to change direction. No need to set this in blheli.

Yeah, I know that I can swap out the wires too, not a tricky job, just wondered if anyone else had the same with the motors ?

I don't have those motors but I do have some 2300kv motors that I have switched in BHeli and have zero problems.  That said, I am not racing or pushing the motors particularly hard and it may be that those sorts or problems don't show up unless you're pushing the motors near their limits.

I'm gonna try Blheli switch before re soldering, see how we go, Blheli-s sirdude ? I'm never pushing things so should be ok ?

Yes, some motors are designed with no specific direction in mind. Jus to name a few - Cobras, ZMX, RCX, old DYS.

EDIT: actually "default" direction may also vary depending on ESC used.

He's running the same ESC as me (DYS XS20A, and run fantastic with BLheli_S) and wired as you'd expect but it's very odd, never seen with any motor I've ran.

Yes, BlHeli_s. I am running Cobras and as Konrad said, simple AC motor with no designed direction. I've had no problem at all...even the few times I was heavy on the throttle (usually prior to a crash), I saw no indication of any desync issues. I would suggest if you do it, you fly in an open area over some nice tall soft grass until you're comfortable there won't be a problem. Good luck! : )

I run the ZMX 2206 2600 on my GEP VX4, and funny you mention desync, yep, got desync straight off the bat, Changed motor timing to low and perfect no desync.

For me, desync was kinda like a rough carby on your car, kinda jerky twitchy throttle on 1 or more motors at different times.
