XT60 toothpick hack
#1
For those of you who experience the XT60 plug falls out once in a while (especially hardmounted from my experience) can solve this by taking a piece of a wooden toothpick or similar and push it in between the connectors (arrows in the picture)

I mean just stick it in and keep them there. This way the connectors will not bend back

Word of wisdom: always keep a spare... Of everything all the time.

Build a spare part quad Tongue

I had no idea that was why my XT60s were loose. Last week I had to hunt through 5 foot tall grass in a field because a flip caused the battery to unplug from gravity. I thought the plastic must have stretched or something.

If I didn't spend all my money on the first one I would have spare everything. But I did and I don't so yay for me. I did buy four extra arms so that should help the next time it breaks.

I too use biggles method, although once they're past a few + tweaks they can break, ask sigloss Wink

Brilliant, I love these types of solutions - so brutally practical Smile Most of my fleet now has toothpicks in their XT60 connectors - batteries connect securely and snugly now.
My humble addition - the toothpick goes a long way if you keep sharpening the ends with an x-acto knife after every cut.
The next build will be perfect! | Fleet and build info | YouTube Channel |

Strange, I pushed a toothpick in my XT60 and I could not fit the battery plug in. Maybe Hungarian toothpicks are bigger Big Grin
