Xm20a settings
#1
I've just ditched the 12a Simon series esc's I got with the nighthawk and got some Xm20a esc's. I've upflashed to 14.5 and set my Naze32 to 1200 looptime. The esc's have just got the default settings and I've turned on oneshort on the naze.

I'll be out tuning over the next few days and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions to any other settings I should change on either the naze or esc before I start? I like a sharp snappy feeling to the flight characteristics, the smoothness will come from 20 years of console gaming Smile

Thanks for reading and any input you can provide.

Edit: currently running on the latest cleanlight

Turn on damped light on your ESC, maybe also flash betatflight on your Naze and enable 2Khz mode?

DL is on. Just not sure about going to betaflight yet. How stable is it. I've read a few people have had problems with it.

Just came back from the first flights with the new esc's and couldn't be happier with the new esc's. Big difference in how it flew. Just a couple of tweaks to P and roll and pitch rates and it's really locked in. I'd recommend getting esc's with DL as it made a really noticeable difference for the better.

Just a touch of yaw drift when punching out in a nose down 45° roll attitude. The nose climbs a bit along the yaw axis. I'm guessing I need to up yaw I?

Just need to get the black box flashed and installed to fine tune the PIDs.
