XM20A Running HOT
#1
Hello guys, took my little Fatbee for a maiden yesterday, and damn.. that thing is FAST..
although, i went to change my pdb, and i noticed that the stickers on the esc's got burnt.. on all of the esc's, but she still flies..
my setup is.
xm20a, Dys MR2205 2750kv, Naze Rev5.. blheli 14.4 with Medium-high on timing, damped light, latest betaflight with multiwii(rewrite) with standardpids. 4S with DAL 4x45x3bn.

i have never had any problems with things getting so hot, im thinking i need to read up on pid tuning.. any ideas where to start? can i run theese beast on high timing?

Isn't it just shorting on carbon fiber?
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car

What kind of looptime? High Khz settings + PIDs too high can cause overheating. Try running at 1kHz and default PIDs and see if it gets as hot.

have you checked the screws that you are using to mount your motors to the frame? sometimes if they are to long they can short out the coils inside the motor causing you to burn out the motors and the esc.
