Wired my motors in the wrong order!
#1
I'm new to INAV, but experienced with beta-, cleanflight, etc.

I hid my ESC wires under the FC before soldering them and without labeling them so I soldered some to the omnibus in the wrong order :-(
and I don't know exactly how to fix it.

I'm hoping that a custom motor mix will fix this.  Anybody know for sure?  I'm building a hex and got motors 2 & 5 switched, and 4 & 6 switched.  I've used https://www.iforce2d.net/mixercalc/ before to good success and came up with:

mixer custom
mmix reset
mmix 0 1 -0.497 0.857 1
mmix 1 1 -1 0 -1
mmix 2 1 0.497 0.857 -1
mmix 3 1 1 0 1
mmix 4 1 -0.497 -0.857 1
mmix 5 1 0.497 -0.857 -1

Will this fix it?

you can fix it with RESOURSE MAPPING. you can find more information in this video:

ooops. Sorry, I didn't notice you were using iNav. I guess resourse mapping isn't working on iNav

oyvinla THANK YOU!

This is what I was trying to find.  You've set me in the right direction.  Failing remapping the motor resource, I may as well buy a new board.  It may be simpler than de-soldering the signal and ground wires from the FC.

You only need to resolder the signal wires. It doesnt matter which pin the grounds are attached to
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car

I would guess that motor mix is the way to go with iNav, but I can't say for sure as I have no experience with iNav

True!  But that's my LAST option.  David Windestal the Swede got me in a bad habit of cutting wires to fit, and soldering signal wires IN the pinholes.  To resolder, is maybe 2 hours for me :-( I'm lazy.  Since I had to make a custom motor mix for the first Hex for the yaw to stabilize I figured I would just make a custom mix with the motors swapped.

I just don't know if this is enough or if I'm missing something else in the code.

No worries.  If it would work in Cleanflight, I would hope it works in INAV.  I remember setting up a custom mix for the deadcat layout on a KK2 and reliving trig nightmares from high school.  At least with the new calc is EZPZ to make a custom mix that works.
