The whoopee frame can be purchased through thingverse, Oscar is traveling at the moment so I don't think he will be able to print it for you right now..? I really don't want to post this link to BangGood as they have stolen the design and aren't paying or even crediting Oscar for his work, also lots of people complain about the quality of 3D printed goods from BG... Warping, finishing and quality of 'PLA' have all been brought into question by BG customers. So with all that in mind if you want to take the risk, I cant bring myself to call it by its proper name if sold by BG - so here with the link to the poopee! • Posts: 5,315 Threads: 672 Likes Received: 3,155 in 1,743 posts Likes Given: 2,030 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 Thanks Tom! Yes I cant print anything until Feb .. just a warning about the frame sold by BG, quality is really bad, and they are shipped without any hard package so the frame could deform during transportation (someone sent me a photo) If you need it urgently maybe you can get it printed in a 3D printing shop • Posts: 7 Threads: 3 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Dec 2016 Reputation: 0 Ok... Probably depends greatly on where you are but there are like 5 public libraries near me that offer 3d printing - they all charge some absurdly low price like $.10/g - it's a hassle for sure, but perhaps an option near you. There's also online groups like "Shapeways" that will print glorious SLS Nylon prints, or even PLA. Not terrible economical though, generally plus then you don't get all the support parts like zip ties, and whatnot. • Posts: 1,504 Threads: 83 Likes Received: 944 in 654 posts Likes Given: 2,142 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 24 (25-Dec-2016, 05:51 AM)CesiumSalami Wrote: ... like 5 public libraries near me that offer 3d printing... Wow, my local library doesn't even have an internet connection! They do have 3 PC's, you know those beige ones you put the (CRT) monitor on top of!? • Posts: 1,504 Threads: 83 Likes Received: 944 in 654 posts Likes Given: 2,142 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 24 Just so there is a photo of my whoopee in the correct thread... Stupid BangGood 8x 15mm motors (not the 8x20 mm they advertised) melted the motor housings though • Posts: 133 Threads: 5 Likes Received: 52 in 29 posts Likes Given: 22 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 5 (26-Dec-2016, 05:46 PM)Tom BD Bad Wrote: Just so there is a photo of my whoopee in the correct thread... Tom, I hate to be the bearer of bad news ... but those props may just be a no-go on 8.5mm motors. They're really aggressive, heavy, etc.. you'll probably toast the motors with them. Also, yeah, the 3d printed material isn't very heat tolerant :/ I had to use zipties to really make this setup work. Never noticed, but you're right - all the motors i have - the can is 20mm (for the 8.5mm ones) • Posts: 3 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Nov 2016 Reputation: 0 Hey, Do you have some problems when you try to do some flips with it ? Mine, after an agressive double flip can't stabilize itself in level mode, he does crazy whobble until he touch the ground :'( I'm really bad in PID tunning, everybody say to do it in acro mode but i don't have this problem in acro mode (he don't try to stabilize after flip). It's just in level mode he does some crazy whobble Flaykz. • Posts: 133 Threads: 5 Likes Received: 52 in 29 posts Likes Given: 22 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 5 I didn't watch this video but it covers "vortex ring state" or "settling with power" I'm guessing you're doing these double flips with zero or very little forward speed. When you do that you lose altitude and when you go to recover (to stop your decent) your blasting dirty air downward - more power just makes it worse .... It may not be a PID thing - you just need to move forward a little bit during the recovery or flip.... less power - more forward movement. Just a guess..... Bigger quads can overcome this with massive amounts of power ... but brushed stuff and TinyWhoops might not have enough power. I've experienced this in full sized helicopters ... it's mind blowing.
