What Goggles
#1
I ordered some emachine goggles from baggood, but they have been stuck at the DHL places since the 1st of the year.  Talking with Bangood, if they don't leave that facility by next Tuesday they want me to contact them to setup a return for me.  If this happens I will most likely order from Amazon or something in the US.  At that time of ordering the emachine a price was a concern but now not really.  If these don't ship and I get a return what are your guys opinions on what goggles to get?

It depends on several factors...

What is your budget?
Do you wear glasses?
Do you need audio?
Do you prefer built-in receiver, or do you want the option to use different modules?
Does it need DVR?

Those are the questions of the top off my head that will help us make some recommendations.

Here is some info in case it helps too

Im just starting out, but I don't want to purchase another set if I have to. The most important factor is the picture. I do not have glasses. It does not need Audio, but would be nice same for DVR. Im not sure about the built in receivers, but if it is something I can add later on to extend range then yes.

The Eachine EV200D (link to my preview article) are 'coming soon' and BG have actually updated the site to show that these are now 'under restocking'.

If they deliver on the specs and keep a high standard of quality, the EV200D should be on par with some of the best goggles available. I do understand that shelling out $300 so early in your addiction may not be ideal, but goggles are something that will stay with you for a long time...

I currently use the Eachine Goggles Two ($120) which are pretty good for box goggles, they have HDMI input (and can display 1920x1080 res) so you can use them for flying sims. I can confirm that while there is some debate over whether it is antenna, or receiver diversity, that they do have 2 receiver modules on the board.

SloScotty (I think) has the Eachine EV100 which are cheap and cheerful slimline goggles @ $99, maybe he will chip in with his experience of them..?

If you didn't balk at any of those prices, I'd go for the aomways (it's what I'd get out of that particular list). DVR, HDMI input (great for using with a simulator).

Just FYI the EV800D has a removable 5" screen that has a tripod mount, so if you wanted to go for something cheaper that will still see use after a future upgrade, they could be a good option. The screen can also adjust forwards and backwards which is a nice touch. This will also give you a chance to gain a bit of experience to make a more informed decision about what features you want from your goggles.

Edit to add : +1 ^^

It would depend on your budget.

Fatshark HD3s one of the top of the line goggles. You need to buy a reveiver module also. $30 to $105

Fatshark Dom V3s and Aomway Commanders are next. You also need a reveiver module for the Fatsharks. The Aomways come with a receiver built in.

On a budget I believe the Fatshark Attitude V4 are a good value. They come with a replacable module however they are specific to the model.

The HD3 and V3 have HDMI. I think all of those have built in DVR. Screen resolution and size are different between these also. You can look up the spec for them. I also think the HD3 has glass optics.

If you want something cheap to get going the Eachine goggles are ok.
