What ever happend to freedom of speech?
#1
Why would something get removed from a forum because one person is offended by something in their words that is "sexual"?

Is it not simple enough that if you are offended by something you do not look at it?

Forums should not be shaped to cater for one person, they should be open for anyone to post what they want as long as its on topic whether someone gets offended or not.

The "offending" post was removed at Oscar's wishes. The decision was made based upon multiple factors not just based on any one individual's comment.

The posting of said material was my error, the blame rests on my shoulders and mine alone. I should have thought past what I found amusing and looked at what others may of thought.

I do not believe anyone deliberately posts something to cause offence, it is human nature that some may not agree with it while others find nothing wrong with it all.

What does need to be considered is that forums are not always read by adults and that perhaps some material (even if freely available elsewhere) may not be suitable for children and we do have a duty of care to try and keep this forum family friendly.

Nobody is trying to stop freedom of speech, all we are trying to do is keep the forum agreeable to all and keep the wheels turning in a harmonious manner. Smile .

Let us please move forward.

All of the above sites are respected sites that are visited by millions of people some of who are children however that video is posted there even on the homepages in some cases at one time or another and still remains there.
There is nothing offensive in that video at all if its not someones taste in humor then they don't need to watch it and comment about it.

There is a thread over on multi-rotor.co.uk that posted the exact same video and no one there is moaning about it.

I just don't think that a forum should be moderated based on one person reporting and moaning about something.

Each fora has there own Forum rules, and this one is no exception.

Running a forum is not as straight forward as it may seem, we cannot always please everyone and not all user comments are going to be agreeable to all.

If any posts are reported for whatever reason, they are looked at and are actioned accordingly.

What other sites choose to do is up to them.

At the end of the day this forum belongs to Oscar, and he has the final say.

Hi sorry yes it was me that deleted that "dild0" video. Me and other Admins just don't see it being appropriate in a forum that is open to little kids.
As well as the arguement that it evoked, which was totally irrelevant to what this forum is about.
That video also appeared on MI group several times, and were all removed by me and other Admins.

I think we should all focus on multirotors and FPV, and forget about that silly video Smile that's why we are here the first place right ?
