So, I decided to swap the camera and vtx before I changed out anymore esc's or motors.

I have 3 identical Aliens, so I swapped the vtx and camera to one Alien, that was flying perfect, and now BOTH machines are flying smooth........

I am wondering if the issue is in the camera, (loose board maybe.....?????)

But if that is/was the case, I either got very lucky when I swapped the vtx's and camera's around, or I just got dam lucky and the quad faries.paid me a visit and fixed the issue !

The only variable that is different, is that the day I flew both machines, it was 30 degrees out, but I don't see how that could be an influence..........
Stay tuned, hoping to get out again in a few weeks, dam snow and crap weather here in the northeast part of the US

Freezing cold weather will make your batteries less powerful, so it will minimise the effect of any problems at full throttle.

It's done nothing but rain here for the last two weeks. I think I'm starting to forget how to fly! Big Grin

Fewer than you'd think. Most of the country is covered in forest. Where I am, near the coast, it's always windy as well, so flying can be quite interesting sometimes!

The summer is great! Very long days and it's normally nice and warm. The winter can be brutal though and there's only about six hours of daylight at the moment. We're looking forward to the first real snow of the winter starting tomorrow. Gale force winds and a couple of feet of snow. It should make driving home from work tomorrow an interesting challenge! Smile

Oh man, be careful driving home tomorrow !
I spent 4 years in Germany when I was in the Army, I just assumed all of Europe was like Germany !

If you ever find your way to the Northeast , here in the states, I have some cool spots to bring you too !

I'm about 600 miles north of Frankfurt, so the climate here tends to be quite extreme in the winter. It's certainly far enough north for my taste! Smile

I will be trying to avoid the idea of driving to work tomorrow. It's not supposed to start snowing until about 9AM, but once it starts, it's going to snow for 48 hours. As there will also be gale force winds, the snow drifts that will form could make getting home difficult, so working from home will save me from getting stranded.

Once it's finished snowing and the ploughs get out, the roads will be fine again, but they don't tend to plough while it's still snowing as it ends up being a waste of time, particularly when it's really windy.

48 hours of snow !
If that happened here in Connecticut most people would lose their minds !
There would be such a stampede on the grocery stores, they would have to call out the national guard !

I'm already eorki ng on a plan to move down south to North or South Carolina, I want to be able to fly most of the year !!!!

It turned out to be about 36 hours of snow in the end. There's about a foot and a half outside now.

Nowhere near as bad as it could have been!

Luckily I moved South before finding my passion for the hobby, I probably would have never stuck with it if I was still dealing with the weather and the health and safety of London.

Glad you got home safe unseen!

I think I may have solved the issue, put a new camera in and went out and flew today, the vibration is gone, granted it was a cold and VERY windy day (38 degrees F, a cold, damp, raw day) but the machine flew very very well, I cant wait for it to warm up, so I can stop flying from inside my truck !!!!!

I will post a final update after I put more packs thru it !

Thanks
