Waterfall + snow + cold
#1
Yesterday was a good day to test conformal coating on drone and cam (smo 4k) , weather was cold ,-5° celsius and it was snowing so...... The perfect day ? .
I started on the river then climb up the waterfall and then inside the gully there is an avalanche. Battery wasn't happy.
Under the snow i got wet ND filters so without filter on snow clip is overexposed in some point. Really sorry but was hard day.

Nice footage. I've conformal coated my drones but I'm too afraid of flying them over snow/water.

Good job.

I tried to keep warm batteries with hand warmer pouch and it works a little. By the way i lost about 1minute of fly. With a 1300mah 4s only 4:30 seconds !?!?

That’s really awesome!! What size of drone is this? How much angle do you have on the fpv system? And how much angle is on the GoPro?

Thanks for the info — my wife just bought me a GoPro and I’m flying a property for a new house.  As of right now I dont have any good footage, but I am slowly working on it!!

This is awesome! I'm hoping to catch a bit of snow this winter as well - could you share how you conformal coated your SMO 4K? I disassembled mine and partially coated it, but couldn't get the two boards apart, so the inside surfaces aren't properly covered  Confused

Thanks!

Same here, smo is only partial coated, but front side is protected by suport , seem worko well with snow and some drop of rain.

Awesome, thanks for letting me know. If I get some snow here (unlikely) then I think it'll be worth risking it Smile

Happy flying!
