WARNING! Airmode + failsafe
#1
Just a quick heads-up:

In recent versions of betaflight, using airmode as a feature (in configuration page) breaks failsafe function. If rx gets disconnected, motors will not turn off. One user even reported motors staying on full throttle...

Using airmode as a flight mode in modes tab is fine, everything works as expected.

Thanks for the heads-up! (So airmode as a feature *is* a bug (not a "feature-not-a-bug") Big Grin

lol Big Grin yes, for now. Github topic: https://github.com/betaflight/betaflight/issues/3108

btw it maybe might work correct under other circumstances, but this happens when the rx is physically disconnected from the fc. Failsafe somehow is recognized by the FC but motors still wouldn't turn off, from what i've read.

The dismissive and instant closure of the issue by BorisB, which as you pointed out, shows that he didn't even read the report properly, does not bode well for the future of Betaflight. If that's the kind of attitude that's being thrown around by the project maintainer these days, then reliability, safety and attention to detail would seem to have been pushed to the bottom of the priority list.

Sad
