VTX power in Races
#1
Do most fpv races require you to run 600mw vtx, or are there also races where they allow smaller vtx? What are your experiences?

we usually go 25mw if we are flying with 4 people or fewer. I have no experience with more people flying 200mw or 600mw.

thanks, do you use immersion vtx? It seems so big to me to use in races, when you want your setup as light as possible... Especially when there are so many smaller vtx out there...

Yes you're right. We are always using immersion. We tried to fly with mixed vtx's in the past, but that didnt work out very well. There is little or no interference when flying with 4 people. The problem starts when the 5th or 6th pilot joins.

200 would be acceptable in most races i think.. 600mw would definitely be too much..

The races at our field allow 250 max.  Vortex's come with a 350 so they get their own class. 600... no way.

Most races I've been are always limited to 250mw
