0 I ordered this akk vtx that supposedly can do 3W. On the wiring diagram it says input voltage is 8-22V. I'd like to just wire it to the 9V pad instead of using battery voltage. If I wire it to the 9V though is that going to limit the power it can output?

388 AKK recommend that you should use 3S-6S. I assume they want you to connect directly to battery voltage. The problem that can happen if you hook up to your regulator 9V, if you pull too much power from the 9V, you can burnout the 9V.

18 Alternative method is to just get a standalone regulator that's rated to put out enough juice.

20 AKK doesn’t have the greatest with their VTXs In my book. Their “output” hasn’t been consistent . Keep us posted on the performance of this unit.. Im curious. Maybe things have improved

27 Electrical power is at least 4x RF.
400mw VTX uses 1.6W+
3W VTX uses 12W+
FC BEC is up to 3A, but 2A realistically, 5V or 10V, thats 10W and 20W.

27 I think AKK still has the incompatible SmartAudio
Nobody warned me about this in 2019 when everybody was buying AKK Vtx because "1200mw"
