My camera seems to have gone kaput on me last night so I picked up a RunCam Swift with OSD.  Is that OSD capable of doing battery voltage monitoring or is it basic for things like putting my name in the video feed?

If it can't do that, what would it need to do voltage monitoring?

Nah, that OSD means the setting menu... it doesn't display voltage on screen...
The only camera that has built-in OSD for flight data such as voltage is the Foxeer Arrow HS1190:

Easiest way IMO to get voltage monitoring is picking up a matek or realacc hubosd/pdb. I used minimosd before, but the simplicity of the hubosd is really nice! As a bonus, you also get current usage and timer with that pdb/osd
